Building Permit Fees

BUILDING PERMIT FEES

1. Improvement costs from $1.00 to $4,999.00
2. Building permit fee shall be $25.00
3. Improvement costs from $5,000.00 to $30,000.00
   1. Building permit base fee shall be $20.00; plus, the fee determined by Paragraph 2.2 herein.
   2. Building permit fee of $3.50 fee per $1,000.00 of improvement costs of improvements allowed by building permit.
4. Improvement costs exceeding $30,000.00
   1. Building permit base fee shall be $125.00; plus, the fee determined by Paragraph 3.2 herein.
   2. Building permit fee of $1.75 fee per $1,000.00 of improvement costs of improvements in excess of $30,000.00

All improvement costs of material and labor shall be rounded up to the nearest $1,000 increment for purposes of determining the fees for building permits imposed by Resolution 733 dated the 6^th day of April, 2021.

If any improvements or construction is initiated before issuance of a building permit, then the Village shall impose a late fee of $10.00 per $1,000.00 of costs of material and labor necessary to build or install the improvements permitted by the building permit issued after construction has begun.  Said late fee shall be imposed in addition to any building permit fees imposed by Section 1 herein.

All costs of building permits must be paid to the Village Treasurer before issuance of a building permit.
